THE season has now concluded with Chalk Lane winning the Humber Premier League title by a margin of three points from second placed Reckitts.

The Division One title was won by Hall Road Rangers Reserves with Hessle Sporting Club runners up.

Grays League Cup Final

Champions Chalk Lane met runners up in the League Reckitts in the final at Dene Park with Reckitts lifting the cup thanks to a dramatic last- gasp goal.

Most of the first half action took place in midfield with chances for both sides at a premium.

Gareth Barstow went close for Reckitts and at the other end Ryan Mellors just missed the target. Steve Dixon nearly put Reckitts ahead but his excellent volley on the turn just shaved the top of the bar.

Mike Smith was denied by a save at full stretch by Richard Jackson and Ross Armstrong's dipping shot were the closest Chalk Lane came to scoring.

The second half saw the tempo increased.

Dixon's cross was close to finding Mike Blyth but keeper Phil Dobson made a brave save.

Chalk Lane's Gareth Sewell then saw his free kick cleared off the line.

The winning goal came in the third minute of stoppage time when Luke Moulds persistence set up the opportunity for Lee Geraghty to hit home a dramatic winner with virtually the last kick of the final.
