Cranswick run out comfortable winners

Monday, February 08, 2010, 05:30

HUTTON Cranswick continued their fine run with a 3-0 victory over Bulwell Town.

Despite lacking the services of Skipper, Darren Parker, and influential defender, Paul Taylor, Cranswick ran out comfortable winners with goals from Andy Etherington and a goal in each half for Steve Chapman, who missed a last- minute penalty. Without ever hitting any dizzy heights, United put in a workman-like performance which restricted their opponents to one shot on target.

Scott Chippendale gave an assured performance at left-back and there was an encouraging debut by Perry Skelton at right-back.

The central defensive pairing of Andy Etherington and Dan Taylor was solid throughout.
