Jay-Jay Okocha doesn't expect to start tomorrow (Who'd have thought it eh?) but City face the most inviting chance yet to register consecutive wins with the visit of Preston tomorrow. Without tempting fate, Preston have taken only two points from seven away games while manager Paul Simpson is facing calls for his head. Surely three points for the taking or is that too optimistic?
Who would you pick up front? McPhee and Campbell made for a good pairing up front at Burnley but Dean Windass helped give Preston a touch-up last season. Decisions, decisions for Mr Brown once more.
Let's hear your views.

lets have mr mcphee out and put rocky back in and i would also drop hughes and mabye put mcpheee on the left and try and get summot out of him there. Henrik Pederson needs to lose about 30 stone to be fit and then were class!!!!!!!

Hi Phil,
I struggle to see the value of Windass when Folan and everyone is fit. I even think I can see his engine beginning to die a little. There's only so long your body can hold up at this level of the game and I think his age is starting to show.
If we can't beat preston tomorrow then we have some problems. I'd like to see us throw caution to the wind and throw everything at them, but that doesn't seem to be Mr Brown's modus operandi.
What do you reckon?

no i really dont agree windass is the only player at the club who can score 20 goals a season and folan cannot complete 90 mins away from home!!!

Hi Wright,
McPhee arguably had his best game in a City shirt against Burnley so to drop him would be very harsh. It could be Campbell who get's moved aside in favour of Windass. He has looked a touch out of sorts since the Barnsley supershow and with a slight toe injury, he could be the one to make way.
As for Pedersen, Brown is expecting him back for the Scunny game.

I'd love to see Deano score those goals, but if he gets 20 this season I'll eat my shorts.
I really think Brown sees him as bench at best when people get fit.
There's no room for sentiment in football

Gents, I see both sides of the debate.
Deano will always have a worth this season (four goals already) when he's fit but when your £1million signing is ready, it will be difficult to overlook him. Can the pair play together? I doubt it.

As for tomorrow, Preston are a team with very fragile confidence. Get at them early doors with a goal and victory should be City's.

Anybody know the latest on Folan's fitness? He didn't play in the reserves the other night, so he can't be fully fit. Will he be on the bench, or will he have to wait for anothe couple of weeks? Also, what's happened to Barmby? Is he still injured, and will he ever make it back to the 1st team?

It would be some achievement for Deano to score 20 goals again. Given the strength of depth in attack when all are fit, he may find his chances limited at some point. If he does manage to get 20 though, City will not be far off the play-offs.

Folan was getting assessed this morning but I would suggest that tomorrow's game will be too much of a risk. Given that there's a two-week break ahead of us, I think Brown may opt to give him time and not rush.

As for Barmby, he's targeting a playing return in the reserves two weeks from now so expect to see him challenging for the first-team by early December.

Preston's 1st half record is actually 8th best in the Championship, so the key to success could be to hold them till half time, then hammer them as they fall apart in the 2nd half

Geez, that's what I call good knowledge! Where do City stand in the first-half table?

Barmby's another one we don't need. Again no room for sentiment. Let's move on
