So what comes first this weekend for you? Are we talking City v Preston, the rugby league, the Premier League, the ice hockey or even Carl Froch in action tonight?

And what irks you about the sporthull site? We've been up and running for six months now, but how we can make this site better for you? And what would make you use it for longer.

We're working on a few things, with a fun and games section among them. But what else can we throw your way to make you enjoy your visit?

Caleb Folan has been called up for the Irish B squad. He's from Leeds but has Irish ancestry. Now that's great for the player, but it's a farce. He's as Irish as Sylvester Stallone.

Following on from what James Lodge said on Phil's webchat, covering the Ressies and the youth team better is something we should definitely do.

But would it best to have a once-weekly round-up of the Reserves/Youth team on a regular day, or stories as and when they happen?

I'm leaving for pastures new soon, so maybe it's something my successor can look to really get to grisp with. There are plenty of areas we could look to improve on, and any suggestions, or criticisms are welcome - it only helps us make our service better.

As mentioned elsewhere, I use the internet on my mobile, and the bbc has an optimised section for mobile browsing, and it works really well.

Any chance to do the same with this site, either all of it, or just sporthull?

(City to win 3-1 tomorrow!)

Cheers!

We're still in the embryonic stages of any move to a mobile offering. The Sun have just done it nationally, and I'm sure it will come with time. The same goes for thisishull as well as sporthull.

I've tried to load sporthull up on my mobile (I can't afford an IPhone!!) and it's just too big. Sky have today launched an Iphone section on their website, so the demand ios growing for that sort of accessiblity.

At the moment though, it's still in its infancy, even though sporthull is constantly growing. We now regularly get around 1.3-1.5m page views a month, and I'd expect that grow as time goes by.

We've got some good news tomorrow on the fitness of John Welsh and Henrik Pedersen, but can you honestly see where Welsh fits in?

Personally, think it's a case of him getting fit and then going out on loan in Jan, ahead of a permanent move in the summer.

On the subject of sporthull, the celebrity webchats we've done so far have gone down really well, but who would you like on here? Any special requests?

Good afternoon gaffer,
Just had Paul King on the phone wanting us to let people know he has another testimonial event tonight at the Charleston Club. There is a hypnotist on and Kingy and some of the players are going down. It cost £5 and starts at 8pm, can you let everyone know.
Actually, looks like i've already done that. I'll let you get back to making my copy look good.
Cheers.

ok, thanks for the info!

Where do you see Welsh going? Who has replaced him in our team, i'm not sure we have seen the best of him yet - have we?

He must have had something for us to 'swap him' for Anderson...

Welsh is a technically good, tidy footballer - as you'd expect from a Premier League club - but given that Phil Brown already has Livermore and Ashbee in that role, I reckon Welsh might be the one to make way.

City haven't seen the best of him, and he may well end up doing well at a Championship club, but at City there's already enoughenough bodies in that midfield.

And on the subject of the Paul King thing Mr Smailes, any chance you can get the hypnotist to convince you you're a half-decent sports writer? Anything's worth a try, surely....
