Fullback ... Erm we havent got one as we got rid of one of the brightest english prospects because sharp is useless. tony is a good cover option but he is far better in other positions. centres....yemo has not shone under sharp (no surprise there) and he lacks pace and isnt a big rampaging center of a webster or tupou what hull need ...byrne good player for a team like castleford or a squad player but NOT a proper starter another who has no pace. wing....Raynor quality larker thankgod sharp hasnt got rid of him....matt singh quality player 5 years ago just another injury prone recruit now...hall lacks pace and defensivley dodgy but has a knack of scoring and is young so still not sure with him but he may end up at kr. Second rowers...seems its one area we are well covered at with tickle,radford and manu all quality second rowers and with bennett come threw the ranks and whiting and horne also trying there hand there we shouldnt be looking to be signing another 2nd rower. Props ...hull struggle when carvell doesnt play...thackery is a lucky signing for us and if he gets back to his best form he should provide us with some go forward..wheeldon looks a bright prospect...and jason ryles would be a welcome addition...dowes and cusack are defensive props but dont offer much going forward. stand off and scrum half.....our weakest area what needed sorting out after the cook saga..sharp goes for a decent player coming to the end of his career and is also injury prone and then sharp cannot believe it when he cannot get dykes on the pitch due to injury. Horne is a decent player but would prefer him at fullback...tommy lee is NOT the answer ... loose forward ...washbrooke is very hit and miss but given time may be half decent but not in the westerman class ..hull could sign better then washbrook thats for sure.. Coach....Loves to sign utility players rather then players who are specialised for a certain position what is a big mistake one or 2 utilitys should be the most u need. Comes across that sharp hasnt got the contacts or the respect to attract world class players ..unless he gets em on mega contracts like berrigan is on.. he be 33 when he finishes his whopping pay check...the sort of club fc are should be recruiting better players then a todd byrne thats for sure...sharp also doesnt put hull fc in the media either and comes across as a boring old man who couldnt gee up his team if his life depended on it. his tactics are boring up the jumper stuff anf then get a kick in easy for other coaches to nullify fcs so called game plan ..hence why we had scored the least trys last season apart from salford(who where relegated) and are bottom of the try charts this season as well ...so thats the case for why i think we need a top quality coach to come in to bring in some top quality players and much more better tactics and not make blunders like sharp has...his relasing of danny brough is further evidence he doesnt know what hes talking about...apparently brough isnt good enough ..funny hes making sure he carries wakefield threw there injury crisis i see no 6 or 7 from hull doing it for us?? anyway please discuss |
