Tricky in defence for the backrow!! MAJOR LAW CHANGES Downgrading most penalty offences to free-kicks Allowing handling in the ruck Backs must be 5m behind rear foot at scrum Removing corner flags Permitting defending teams to collapse rolling maul Ball cannot be passed back into 22 and kicked out on the full. |

Perhaps he can assist you in attaining a level of aerobic fitness and agility, not forgetting speed to enable you to play at the pace the new laws require.[/b] |

I was just agreeing with your lookalike Martin Williams, he suggested it on the bbc website, that it would be in his words a headache in defence. But I guess the best 7 in the world on current form is wrong? I like it cause i think it brings back the need for big backrow forwards, perhaps you should talk to the Rotherham DOR and see what he says? It's Bye bye to the out and out 7 if they are passed. Anyway you know as well as I do the Hands in ruck law is right up my street!!! |

I'm not ginger as you well know I'm ********* ****. Anyway you're just guessing, we've got hundreds of gingerish people at the club. If you are who I think you are wouldn't there be another bagpuss the spitting image of ya? And another thing, if you are who I think you are you'll lend me ya laptop thursday |

Back rows don't know the laws so any changes go right over their empty heads. Front rows however, may find them hard to incorperate into their game, what with all this touchin' and engagin' and liftin' to think about. Handling in the ruck comes pretty natural though. |

Why not change the game significantly and only let a team have six tackles, abolish lineouts and rucks and mauls and they could even make it that you could not pinch the ball if more than one player made the tackle. Why not invent a new game. I suggest it could be called RUGBY LEAGUE or even better still stop all physical contact and have a game called touch rugby. Can you imagine what would happen to the front row and the big locks within two or three years. Grass roots rugby would suffer because for the Endo there may not be a place. Only true athletes such as Towny and Mick and of course myself would be able to play. |

Good move to have 5 yards - sorry metres - at the scrum . open the game up a bit. jury out about collapsing mauls but it has happened for years and rucks left ok. So a reasonable comprimise - if you have any doubt about change watch EPSN and old 60's and 70's games and see if we have a better game now??? |
