Waterboy needs to run the Rule over some soon and maybe havea look at Gibo as well while he is resting. Last year we were desperate for some backs but now we need both I think, especially as the grapevine says Hull are after one of our 10s. |

Seriously though, athletisisisism is whats needed now in the second row, so Ginger Wig or Young Kench can do the job, and I am told Seaton Carew is going to take it serious next year so things aren't all bad. |

I don't reckon Wiggy and Kenchy share your views on that position, apparently you have to push a bit and its makes you tired quicker and thats apart from the chance that it would spoil their good looks with cauli lugs. I reckon Carew Cheriton will be honoured to be mentioned in despatches but unfortunately it counts for little if your faith in him does not materialise into a performance to get him recognised by the two who make all first team decisions. |

Been keepin' fit down on the allotment I 'ave see, but no substitute for the real thing, look you, so I think I'll 'ave a run out next week an' trade a few punches down Is'. Should be able to keep up with the old blokes like Winker an' Boney,2 bad Knees I 'ave see but I'm only 53. |

As the only prophet about at the moment lets see if the crystal ball can help me make some more news. How about a centre who might be knicknamed spud entering thre fray, could be irish and in opposition to guinness. Boney's place looks to be under pressure from a guy from his old club. How many wingers does the club need, this one appears to be coming home after sabbaticals at Hull and Otley. No place for Boney on the wing either? The ball has clouded over I cannot see the face of this person but as he turns round he has an 8 on his back. Hell its Towny, must be problems with recruiting if he is considering playing there. |

However Taffy has pointed out training starts next week so mosey on down and check out the new faces. I do hope the milky bar kid is still with us and not ridden off over the horizon. I also hear Russ is the new DoR, is this true? Why are people having a go at Boney? seems like a nice clean cut young man to me. |

What ever they do with the tyres I'm sure it will be fun! I know people look different when you see them on the telly but the coach looked somewhat older and shorter when he served behind the bar on the hit american comedy CheerS. Hopefully the promised appearance of the welsh contingent will not materialise, but if you do turn up Taff have you any runner beans spare?(and perhaps a few new potatoes) HP; in answer to your question - The club needs 2 wingers for every team it turns out Mick the tyres won't fit your Discovery, sorry! |

Lots of new faces at the first training session last night with about 50 attending, nice to see pete murphy ex morley and the return of nick cooper. Some new forwards as well will have to try and get names Thursday . Watch this space! |

I would like to make it perfectly clear that I do not know how to access the Hull Sportsmail web page, let alone the Fanzone or the Hull Ionians messageboard.( It would be a good idea to have a direct link from the club website, for those who want to use it, Perhaps you could suggest it?) Anyway, even if I did have the appropriate knowledge I have far more interesting and important things to do.So for the last time can I make it plain that I DO NOT use this forum for any purpose whatsoever, be it gardening, grooming, fishing etc Keep in touch, Malcolm. What a "laugh", side splitting, ha ha. No wonder Greggers got brassed off and Roger Wigham is silently fuming, though Simmy looks happy enough! But really gentlemen, get a grip. Gigantor, best of luck at the Newky sevens, though why you would go to Tyneside instead of the English Riviera is anybodies guess!......................or have I got this wrong? There really can't be anything happening at the club. Nothing updated on the official club site for weeks, did we get sufficient high chairs? |

You could be somebody else pretending to be you or even yourself pretendiing to be you so that people do not know that it is you. So come clean and prove once and for all that you are you and set the example for others to follow. I am sure that when they know you is definitely you then they will all "come out" and be them instead of being somebody else. Its not straight you know is it? |

There you are, a THICK PROP FOR'ARD The NAKED truth of it all, the KEY to the mystery, can be disovered over a nice bottle of RED WINE down at the club. No further proof needed. |

Even our mate fitandrusty seems to be missing. does that mean his lad has moved onto pastures new. He must be worried with all these new backs being signed up that there will not be any chance for him now. perhaps a trip to the colonies will be for the best. |
