Biography: Alex started playing golf at the age of 12 at Beverley and East Riding Golf Club. After leaving school, he went to work at the Hull Golf Club for David Jagger as assistant professional. In 1995 he became professional at Cherry Burton and, in 1999, joined Beverley as teaching pro before becoming full professional at the Westwood club in 2000.
