Steve Raybould
Age: 34.
Place of birth: Hanover, West Germany (British Army Hospital).
Biography: In brief, played as Scarborough South Cliff GC from 1986-1989 as a junior. Played Yorkshire Boys, Youths ERU Union Golf and had lots of junior tournament wins. Turned Pro in 1990, qualified in 1993. Attended European Tour, team school in ‘94, ‘95 and ‘96. Won Yorkshire Pro-Ams, North Regional Events and various tournament success. Got married to wife Vicki in 1996 and now have a fantastic job at The Links along with three boys aged three, six and eight. They are my next golfing partners.
Top tip: Keep smiling as you play and enjoy yourself. It’s amazing how good things happen when you’re happy.
Top clubs and ball: Best club of the last two-three years is The Cobra Irons and Woods. Massive sweet spots create confidence and they work!
Best ball: Prof V1X for more distance and control and lake balls as we have thousands from our lakes.
