Biography: Spent two years at Cave Castle followed by 10 years at Cottingham GC. Currently based at Hainsworth Park GC and Cherry Burton GC. Recently completed PGA diploma course.
Top tip: Practice with a purpose. Don’t just pound away at balls on a driving range. Analyse your game, find out where the shots are lost, then practice.
Top clubs and ball: Cleveland Launcher 460 Driver – very forgiving, good value and top quality for money. Any ball in the Titleist range, depending on what you look for in a ball.
Lessons: Ladies groups and Gents groups starting Monday, Wednesday and Friday from the first week in June, afternoon and evening – £40 for eight weeks. Junior lessons, Sunday 10am to 11am, £2 per child. Individual lessons, £15 per half hour; £25 per hour. Computer and video swing analysis available.
