HULL FC: Hull eye up Nines Trophy win
Hull reached last year's final with a squad made up of reserve team players, before losing to Huddersfield.
With the roles reversed this year and the Giants involved in the Challenge Cup final and Hull enjoying a week off, FC will send a strong side to Headingley.
"We'll have a real crack at it," coach Richard Agar said.
"We have enough boys who are up for having a game.
"We've just had some time off and have another two weeks before we have to play again, so we will send a reasonable squad."
While Hull are yet to officially confirm the full squad, Lee Radford will captain the team, with Craig Hall, Chris Thorman, Danny Houghton, Tommy Lee and Richard Whiting among those expected to play, while Andy Last is expected to assume the coaching reins.
Jack Briscoe will also be included and competes in the Fastest Man in Rugby League competition which takes place during the evening.
Agar has jokingly taken a swipe at his captain's involvement.
He added: "I had a text from Lee with his suggested team and it was pretty good, but he was in it which confused me a little bit.
"I guess you can say the qualities and abilities that make a nines player are not ones you would associate with Lee!"
The tournament, which also features Hull KR, Wakefield, Leeds, Warrington and Huddersfield as well as the likes of Jamaica and the Army, starts at 4.30pm with six group games deciding who progresses to a seeded quarter-final draw.
Hull have a bye to the quarter-finals where they will meet Jamaica, Cumbria or Leeds Met.
