HULL KR : Morgan happy with squad as it is
Morgan had openly admitted to seeking a top quality prop to replace veterans Nick Fozzard and Makali Aizue.
It has seen Queensland's Antonio Kaufusi and Manase Manuokafoa and Brisbane's Joel Clinton all linked with a move to Craven Park in recent weeks.
But Morgan insists he is still in no rush, and wouldn't be overly concerned should he not have a new signing when next season kicks off.
Morgan told the Mail: "Since the season finished, I've had time to reflect and had a look at our squad.
"Ideally I'd like to bring in a prop, but I'm not resigned to thinking it's the best thing for us and we're not going to buy one just for the sake of it.
"The pieces haven't fallen into place for us and the players we have looked at haven't ticked all the boxes.
"We want to get the right one and that means we might go into the start of the season with what we have now, and I have no problem with that."
With Australia and New Zealand in England for the Four Nations competition, many thought recruitment would be easier.
But Morgan says it hasn't been simple as the majority of players remain under contract with theri clubs.
"The players we have been linked with are all under contract and I don't like talking about them as I wouldn't want other coaches talking about my contracted players," Morgan added.
"NRL teams are still looking at their salary cap and budgets for next season and that takes time.
"Also, it's not just a case of signing one up for 2010. We are looking at who's available for the 2011 season and beyond.
"A lot depends on what we want, what age the player is and how long we want them for.
"There's no point in going for a third rate player now and miss out on a first rate player for 2011."
Morgan ruled out a move for Melbourne Storm Grand Final winner and former Rovers player Ryan Tandy.
Tandy spent three months at Craven Park in Rovers' first season in Super League in 2007.
Morgan said Rovers had not spoke to Tandy or his agent about a return to Rovers.
