County success for Pocklington

POCKLINGTON School's under-13 netball team were crowned East Riding champions after coming out on top in a nine-team tournament at Wolfreton School.

The team defeated Hull Collegiate 9-0 in the final with a great display of quick passing to become the champions for the second year running.

The competition was divided into two leagues.

The Pocklington team convincingly emerged as the winners of their league with clear wins over Beverley High (8-0), Wolfreton (4-2) and South Holderness (7-0), before going on to defeat Hull Collegiate, the winners of the other league.
