Duxbury's strike sinks Withernsea
Cave started the stronger and went close with shots from Duxbury, Luke Thompson, Andy Brown and Ryan Gledhill with two of the efforts bouncing off the posts.
After a goalless first half, Cave maintained their dominance after the break only for Withernsea to score against the run of play when Dillon Sallis broke down the centre and fired in.
Withernsea defended well and kept Cave out until a corner saw Thompson race onto the ball and volley into the net.
Cave then started to pass the ball around and put pressure on Withernsea which paid off when Duxbury fired in a screamer to seal the points.

A DEPLETED Hall Road Rangers side were too strong for St Andrews who finished the game with nine players as they lost 4-0 in the Myton League.
George Watts, Harry Butler and Danny Symes all had great chances but it was Watts who had the best chances hitting the side netting and shaving the post.
But Rangers soon went ahead when Butler was denied by keeper Connor Rigg and Watts was quickest to react and lobbed the ball into the net.
A great cross-field ball from Joseph Carrol then found Watts on the right who cut in and played a perfect pass into Conor Noble to make it 2-0.
From here and end-to-end battle ensued, with Rangers keeper Harvey Farrow and Rigg both kept busy.
But Rigg and another Saints player then came off injured to reduce them to nine, with no subs to call on, and from here Symes took control of the game.
Harry Chatwin claimed the next goal from a rebound, before a neat passing move between Sam Callan, Symes and Matty Aistrop resulted in Symes smashing a shot into the top corner.

BROOKLANDS Juniors under-12s and Hessle Sporting played out a 3-3 draw in the Myton League.
Hessle opened the scoring after 10 minutes but Brooklands soon hit back when a great ball from Liam Mulligan put Jamie Barker through and he fired in the equaliser.
Brooklands then missed two great chances from Joe Kent and Callum Sallis.
Just before half-time, against the run of play, Hessle took the lead after a great through ball from Tom Giblin.
Brooklands started the second half brilliantly and a crunching tackle from midfielder Ben Mckenzie saw the ball go to Lewis Cook, who fired into the roof of the net for 2-2.
With 10 minutes to go, both sides were trying to win the game and a great save from Max Slide kept Hessle out.
With three minutes to go it was Hessle who took the lead. A good finish from Ben Hinchcliffe looked as though it had won the game for Hessle.
But the excellent team spirit of Brooklands shone through when Jamie Barker sprinted clear of the Hessle defence and rounded the keeper to slot home from an acute angle for 3-3.
