Sharp seals Brid victory

Tuesday, February 09, 2010, 07:00

A GOAL in each half clinched a 2-0 win for Bridlington Rangers Blues at Hutton Cranswick under-15s in the Drypool League.

Blues started the match looking the stronger of the two sides, but found it difficult to exercise any real control on the game.

Brid threatened on several occasions and the Cranswick keeper was forced to make some excellent saves, but after 15 minutes Sam Spalding put them in front.

Brid keeper Ryan Chapman had a quite game, only having one real save to make very early on.

The second goal from the visitors came 10 minutes from time through Ricky Sharp to seal the points in a game where Jack Ibbotson was man of the match.

LEVEN Sharks travelled to Willerby Sports Ground for their encounter with Westella and Willerby B and came away on the wrong end of a 6-1score line.

Westella were 3-0 ahead inside 30 minutes, but the Sharks rallied before the break and striker Ryan Dykes produced a fine poachers goal to put his side on the score sheet.

In the second half, despite Leven making a series of changes at half time, they conceded three more.

Leven Sharks: Callum Prince, Aaron McInnes, Dominic Booth, William Bonell, Reece Metcalfe, Ryan Low, James Richardson, Chris Ellis, James Jarvis, Jordan Chester, Ryan Dikes, George Nunn, Jordan Holmes, Carl Taylor, Alex Fox, Jacob Lawson
