Squash ace Kaiser comes up trumps
The 11-year-old, a member at Anlaby Squash Club, beat York's Emily Hick 12-10, 4-11, 11-8, 11-7 in the under-13 final of the event, which took place near Middlesbrough.
Zaiser, who trains at Haltemprice Leisure Centre and has been playing the sport for nearly three years, is enjoying some fine results in the sport at present.
She was runner-up at the Leeds Open and won the Plate competition at the Newcastle Open, where Anlaby's Charlotte Fish, 11, was the overall winner.
These performances have put Kaiser 19th in the combined boys and girls under-13 rankings in Humberside, despite being two years younger than most in her age group.
She sits 41st in the UK standings ahead of her next competitions in Sheffield and Huddersfield later this month.
George Marshall, a coach at the Anlaby club, said: "The win was well deserved.
"Zoe loves her squash and she has both the talent and the temperament to go far in the game.
"She is one of a host of talented players to be produced by Anlaby Squash Club at Haltemprice."
Zoe's 14-year-old brother Nathan, who is ranked second in Humberside, managed to reach the semi-final stages at the Norton Open in the under-15 event, where he lost to the number one seed.
Fellow Anlaby player Farouq Foster was the runner up in the Plate competition at Norton in the under-17s, while brother Yusef, 11, has been picked to play for Yorkshire Boys under-13s team at the inter-county finals at Lilleshall, after impressing on debut.
Anlaby's Charlotte Kirkwood, 16, will play for the girls under-17 county side at the same event this month.
