As an experienced midfield linchpin, the Nigerian made the big step to European football as a 23-year-old with Norwegian side Brann. Within a year he began his career in English football with Wolves and went on to make 142 appearances in a popular four-year stay in the Black Country. A Premier League debut came when flying the Wolves nest to join Stoke City for £3m in July 2008, only for regular first-team football to dry up midway through his first year. Keen for a fresh challenge Olofinjana made the move to the KC Stadium, 12 months after Phil Brown had first looked to sign him. A £3m move and a four-year deal will see Olofinjana given the chance to shie with the Tigers, as well as continuing his international football with Nigeria.
