HULL KR: Wakefield are favourites, says Morgan
Morgan thinks Wakefield's ten-try home loss to Huddersfield actually puts them in a commanding position at Craven Park.
Pointing to KR's own two-match unbeaten response to their 30-0 loss to Huddersfield as evidence, Morgan says his men are prepared to face a backlash.
He explained: "If you look at Super League this year already, we got beat 30-0 and came back and won the week after.
"Bradford, Catalans and Harlequins have all been beaten convincingly and come back and won the next week.
"Form tells you it's heavily in Wakefield's favour, but we are keen to buck that trend.
"We are realistic to know that we are going to have to be very good in terms of energy, enthusiasm and desire."
Heading into tonight's clash looking for a third straight win on the back of beating St Helens 28-24, history is not on Rovers' side.
Wakefield have beaten the Robins in four of their previous six Super league meetings, a statistic Morgan is keen to redress.
"We'll be looking after our own backyard," he said. "The attitude we need is one that we have to be tight the way we play.
"We need to concentrate on how we've practiced and make sure we do that for the entire 80 minutes.
"We can't be loose in our approach. If we do that, we will be good enough to win."
Having suffered a similar experience to Kear when losing to the Giants three weeks ago, Morgan knows his Wakefield counterpart will be looking for a similar positive outcome.
"I saw a similar face a fortnight ago when I was looking in the mirror," said the Australian.
"I know how hard performances like that are to swallow.
"But I remember how we were the following week. No doubt they will have the same ingredients.
"They will want to make the improvements for their own self pride.
"We are realistic in knowing what is going to happen but we can't get too caught up in that."
