PROFILE:

Rovers managed to persuade the centre to join them rather than Wigan who were also after his signature. He hopes to add to his six England caps and six GB caps. He has yet to reach his peak and a three year deal with Rovers should see him reach the levels that brought international recognition. A wrist injury picked up in the 52-10 Knowsley Road defeat to St Helens in June ended his season in 08. Determined to show Rovers fans his worth in 2009, he is still to reach the standards most expected following his signing.
