PROFILE:

The New Zealand international arrived with a reputation as a good finisher and strong defender. In 2008 he showed his qualities by scoring seven tries in his first nine games. A powerful runner in attack and a handful in defence, teams struggled to contain him. However, his progress was hindered slightly with a couple of niggling injuries but he still managed to play regardless. Just missed out on the Kiwi squad for the 2008 World Cup.
