Shaun Briscoe
Date of Birth: 23rd Feb 1983
Place of Birth: Hindley
Position: Full back
PROFILE:
Signed for Rovers after Hull FC released him at the end of the 2007 season. Regarded as one of the bravest players in Super League who continually puts his head in places others wouldn't dream off. One of his strengths is his calmness under the high ball and his ducking runs out of defence. His hopes of making England's World Cup squad suffered a blow with a groin injury picked up in the defeat to Wakefield at Craven Park that ruled him out of five games. However, his good form at the start of the 2009 season, earned him an international call-up for the mid season test against France in Paris where he scored twice in the 66-12 rout.
